
Bunkers360 is an External Educational Series packaged for the GCSAA with .40 GCSAA Education Points available to those that attend. Bunkers360 will consist of approximately 4 hours of training balanced by an actual on-site bunker project. The program focuses exclusively on bunker-related topics including construction, renovation, and maintenance. Each event will provide perpectives, experiences, and recommendations presented by industry professionals including architects, builders, owners, and superintendents. There are four events scheduled for 2008 beginning with a 4/8 event with the Virginia GCSA and a 5/19 event with the Michigan GCSA. Check the Calendar link for more detailed information.
Topics will include: Bunkers and the Master Plan, Designing for Maintenance, Restoration and Renovation, Budget Considerations, Project Management, Guidelines for Communicating to the Members/Golfer, Financing, and more. Attendees will have the opportunity to interact in a “hands-on” setting, reinforcing the classroom training. Attendees completing the course will have access to a “Bunker Toolbox” which will include speaker outlines/notes, project planning templates, tutorials, presentation tools, and sample spreadsheets.
